Our Kids Clubs are Changing!

Our Kids Club has followed a winning format for almost a decade and we are proud to have developed life long climbers.

What’s Changing?

As the leading bouldering centre in the East Midlands, we are taking our Kids Clubs on to a new chapter with us, we want to expand our bouldering facilities and give our customers the best possible experience. Our new focus will centre around bouldering, specifically climbing movement, technique and ultimately having a great time enjoying the sport.

The current Wednesday evening for 12-16 years will now move to 5.30pm and be opened up to 9-16 years, it will still be 1.5 hours. In addition, there will be a session on Wednesday from 4.30 to 5.30pm for 5 – 8 years to complement our sessions for Monday and Tuesday.

When Will It Change?

We will run this block of kids clubs in its current form until the 28th of October. Our next block of lessons, starting on the 6th of November, will follow our new format.

What? No Ropes?

Our kids love nothing more than moving on the wall. Bouldering is the essence of climbing, and to get more climbing done, we have decided to remove the roped aspect. This will accelerate the development of balance, coordination, agility and movement in our young climbers.

Our kids club will be open to existing and new kids club members aged between 5 and 16 years of age.

The sessions for 5-8 years are 1 hour long and we focus on building confidence and having fun on  the bouldering walls.

The sessions for 9-16 years are 1.5 hours long and are based around NIBAS levels with the aim of developing independent, competent climbers by the age of 14-16 years.
